I have a day on the Prime now.... working great... had a short in the coil after a couple of hours.. have to get used to the new post setup.

Other then that I'm on the second air setting and its vaping great. Airflow is in a better range of adjustment. Not a single drop of liquid leaking.

The SXK version is pretty good. Added the extension tube in stainless steel (from a V5). It comes up just a tad shorter then the V5

Recipes / MaineVapers Sweet Brown Sugar Cinnamon

This is what I vape every day.

I get all of my stuff from Nicotine River, so these ingredients can be found there or you can experiment. To a 50 ml bottle, add the following. I use Nicotine River brand flavors: 35-40 drops of "Brown Sugar"; 35-40 drops of "Cinnamon Danish Swirl" and 35-40 drops of "Super Sweet". Fill bottle with 100% VG base. Shake well and steep, shaking again every time you remember to.

Feel free to experiment or use a different base. PG irritates my throat after a while so I use VG only.

Got in too late tonight to mess with the Prime... its all ready to be broken in tomorrow. One thing I noticed was only one air slot instead of the two that are on the V5... cool.
Plenty of choices for air flow. It's perfect for me, with the liquid control and everything; everything about it is great. So much better than the Protanks IMO. Quality built too. Everything smooth and tight.

I don't bother with rebuilding, since my coils cost about $0.65 each in bricks of 50. Each coil lasts roughly 1 month, so the coil cost is negligible (about $8/year).

I mix my own juice and that probably costs me only a dollar or two for 30 ml.

So a full year of vaping probably costs me less than what one weeks worth of cigarettes used to cost.

I have a fair amount of gear I have never tried that I bought in my first year vaping. I am keeping them as backups, but they will probably never get used. The exceptions are my steampunk rigs, which I pull out on occasion.

I just re-wicked it. Doesn't take me long to foul a wick, I vape so much... (which is why I wanted to get away from buying coil heads for the Protanks). Anyway, it's great to be able to so easily get the good flavor back and even use the same coil again.

My coil resistance is now increased to 2.16 Ohms from original 2.08. How will I know when it's time for a new coil? I never used my drippers enough to replace one so I don't know when they need replacement. It's vaping great again with a new wick. Best atty ever!

Thanks!

With my commercially built coil heads, I change them out when increasing the wattage no longer provides an acceptable vape without burning the juice.

Since you are building your own, you can change them as frequently as you desire (or have the patience). It all depends on how much you are willing to vary the wattage.
