Kayfun on a plane
« on: September 17, 2014, 06:23:21 AM »
Flying home on Friday  :'(

I took my Kayfun away with me for simplicity and the size of tank

Thing is, on the way out, I lost a tank of juice somewhere between take off and landing  :{

I have been thinking about this for going home (not wanting to whip out a 10ml syringe with 6" needle at security)

If I put it in my pocket upside down during take-off it should not leak out due to the air pressure rise right?

 You should be able to fill the Kayfun from a dropper bottle without any problem, I often fill the lite from a bottle when out & about.
No idea what can happen due to pressure on the plane but wouldn’t think it will make any difference what way up it is as the pressure will be the same  w:)w

But if he were to keep it upside-down during the climb and descent the pressure will pass through the wicks and into/out of the tank's air-space, rather than pushing juice out.  So yes, I think that will work.  I'd... still keep it in a baggie, though, in case we're wrong.
Hey Todd, how's it goin'?

Correct. I'm mildly surprised that an international jet-setter such as yourself did not already know this  w:)w

Consider this: If a simple system such as a tank dumps its junk due to the air pressure change, imagine what happens to your brain, bladder, gonads, etc.  %5%

I had the same leaking tank problem in aircraft. Read about turning upside down, and tried it out. Worked!!

But your brain, bladder, and gonads don't  have air-spaces in them.  Your ears do, though.  Of course, your ears are SUPPOSED to be "vented", but it's a small tube and it can get clogged...

Liquid is virtually un-compress-able, so doesn't change in volume as pressure changes.  There would be... problems... if it did.
