Is the 2mg of nicotine per pound of a dogs weight 100% nicotine ?
If it is than once its diluted down to a useable level it would take more than a few drops to be lethal.
Donít get me wrong I think its so sad thatís why I use the SS U-Can containers for my carry around liquid ( the rest is put anyway safely ).
I have a dog but it canít bite through the stainless steel.

It would seem not CY but that was the first post in its entirety mate

And it would have been a very small dog being a pug and only 4 months old so
I'd say very little in this case would have been enough to do the damage. Sad story
but I just wanted to bring this to the attention of others who like vapingfool may not
believe it possible.

It is possible and is true but some people are natural doubters and that's their choice
as all anyone can do is warn them of the dangers and the rest is up to them

OK,  2 mg/kg is much more believable than the 10 mg/kg that was previously posted.

2 mg is only a few drops of 18 mg/ml juice.

But what is the bit about the massive doses of steroids that were mentioned? As far as I know, steroids would be worthless and potentially harmful.

There is no antidote for nicotine poisoning. Treatment consists of minimizing the amount of further nicotine absorption by administering activated charcoal, inducing vomiting or using gastric lavage. Drug treatment is supportive, depending on symptoms.

You've lost me there I've not mentioned steroids

My apologies, I should have looked back through the thread. The mention of steroids was in the article linked in reply #8.

I can confirm that this story is very true

Its a Pit member, so the information is not readily available to everyone

Caz is also correct, the poor guy took a lot of stick on Facebook for this event

Either way, nicotine is poisonous, end of.

Should be treated with respect, no matter what strength.

Keep away from children, animals and Wendy :)+!

Hi essmcgee
Welcome to the Den  :()()

Its simply over cautiousness on the part of the manufacturers, be seen to be doing the correct thing before the do-gooders start complaining.
Technically nicotine is hazardous if taken in large amounts the same as lots of other things, unless you start drinking the liquid instead of vapeing it you will be fine.
Iagree and being new and under the public eye its a better safe than sorry mode for vapers
