Replacing O-Rings
« on: September 17, 2013, 03:17:35 PM »
I seem to go through through o-rings a lot, especially the ones on the caps.  Tank o-rings also need replacing once in a while.  The e-cig shops don't often carry them and when they do, they're expensive.  Found a good online shop in the US to get replacemnt o-rings for atomizers; link

Prices are pretty good, like 20 cents a piece, shipping fees are not great, but acceptable if you buy a bigger quantity.  Most atomizers use metric sizes.  Buna-N 70 is the least expensive material that has the most sizes available; link

The Chinese atomizers often use the 1.0 mm ones; link

There's just two measurements, the thickness or cross section and the inside diameter.  You can probably use a measuring stick if you don't have calipers.

That's good to know, Craig; thanks for the links. Torb, that box is killer!

Pretty useful since the replacement o-rings I got with my dripper are just a tad too thick and end up getting chewed.

Problem with hardware stores in the US is they typically carry only American sizes.  Most e-cig atomizers use metric sizes.  I have some tips from Super-T that use an American size since they're American made, but that's about it.
