£96.95  is a bit to pricey for me  ???
For that I can get a quite decent mod.

Are they really worth that much money?

I started vaping 2011-07-29

I was thinking it was good value as I've spent about £200 on attties ( 50% rubbish) in the last 6 months.
Keep smiling; makes people wonder what you're up to  O:-)

It sure is. If the atty is to ones liking  ;D
Just feels like a huge loss if the atty is not perfoming well according to ones personal taste.
And the only way to know that is to hold on to something steady and let the credit card do its job.

One thing that would be great to have with them was the possibility to alter the resistance (ohm)
I wounder if that is possible to achieve...  :)

They do look beautifully crafted.  But wow, they are expensive.

You can experiment with the length and thickness of the Kanthal or nichrome wire to use whatever resistance you like.  Here's a US supplier for nichrome wire.

aha it is the wire around the coil that determines the resistance of an atty.
I have been woundering about that.
So how does it work, the thickness of the wire around it, how many rounds around it, the lenght.
The more of it makes a higher ohm...?
So in theory if I have a LR atty I can wrap some more wire around it to make a higher ohm resistance?
Do remember I am a Idiot when it comes to electricty  ;D

I will go an check your link now  ;)

edit: your link says for 40 gauge wire
Nichrome 60
 (Chromel C)
 70.2
 ohms/ft

Does that means the resistance is 70.2 ohm for one feet wire
And 35,1 ohm would make half a feet wire (whatever a feet is in our metric system..)

This would be great if they came with a 100 pack of ready made coils and ready made wicks

I've actually been wanting one of these for ages and have been checking cloud9 regularly, the only thing that held me back last time they were available was that the tank bit got mixed reviews. Sadly I've spent of £100 this month already, which was about £50 more than I should have if I am ever to break even, so it looks like I am going to have to wait again :(

It's all very interesting actually.  A lower gauge is a thicker wire which results in less resistance for a given length.  For example, 3 inches of 32 AWG would result in a coil of 2.65 Ohms.  7.5 inches of 28 AWG would also result in a coil of 2.65 Ohms.  However, the coil with the heavier wire is over twice the length.  Total heat is the same so the temperature of the wire itself would be much lower for the longer coil.  You're spreading the same total heat over a much larger area.  I would expect it to have a significant effect on how an atomizer vapes.  It's something I plan to experiment with once I get a hold of a rebuildable atty.

I got one of the first ones when they became available and it is worth the money.
I DD with it on a VV mod so only used the Tank part (using a stainless steel wick) a few times.

The Mark-T infinity back in stock
http://www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epages/yxve46fvrnud.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/yxve46fvrnud/Products/MarkT-KIT1-P
And now also in satin finish
http://www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epages/yxve46fvrnud.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/yxve46fvrnud/Products/MarkT-KIT1-S
Must say the polished one wins hands down for me but that could be because itís the one I use.

But is it worth £100? Seems like a lot of messing round when all i have to do is press the mouse button, type in my paypal passwords, and wait for the postman and i got myself a new atty.

Depends on what you pay for an atty, the cost of a rebuild is minimal a few pence a time and they last for ages.

I must resist this one how ever tempting it is...
I have already bought a Biansi Imist that you can change parts on at a fraction of that price £9.99
I got some wicks in the order as well and if I can figure out how to make a new coil for it  ;)
I think I have heard of a way of making new coils on this forum?
Think it gonna last me a very long time.
All this ofcourse depends on that I like the atty first  ;)

Well I caved and spoke to the Mr. after adding up how much money Ive spent on atomisers in the last 7mths, lol even he was astounded so we agreed that I should order one and give it a try and that the household bills would bear the brunt of the cost. I love my husband :D

Cyborg and my son are on the same wave length here. It's quality work and it works. They rave about the BULLY Smoker in Germany, but it has to be stainless steel because even aluminium expands from the heat and causes problems in time. I will be in Europe in June and bring me 2 of them back. here's the link....http://bulli-smoker.de/index.php?a=68  and the Mark-T seems to be quality too....
