one thing i've noticed is that the juice left in the tank gets dark fairly quicker when compared to an only ss mesh setup..

and be prepared to consume more juice! stock up!

As far as I can tell, it's only the juice's flavoring that causes that dark backwash which discolors the juice in the tank.  I have a few flavors that vape exceptionally clean and never darken the juice.  TPA absinthe is one.  I've come across a few that darken the juice in the tank quite quickly.

Stands to reason, if the juice is wicking faster, you're vaping more and creating more dark stuff to backwash into the tank.  Also, if the juice is more free to flow up the wick, the dark backwash is more free to flow back in the tank.  In a way, it shows the wick is working better.

yes my juice gets dark, and I have now gone from using the SSmesh to wrap the SSwire, to just using the SSwire and wraping my coils directly on the hot spots and seems to work good to me...

Glad I saw this thread. I've had some rope wire for 2 moths, and haven't used it yet...

But your tales of success change all, and I'll get going on it this weekend.

SS coils aren't my best work, so I hope it'll be better with a bit of rope ;)
