A Horse of A Different Color
« on: May 20, 2016, 06:18:30 AM »
I wasn't sure where to post this, but this seemed slightly appropriate.

VG, PG, Nic, and flavors are all food grade items.  So if food grade is the standard, why not try food coloring?  I'm just wondering if it's ever been done and the outcome.  I'd just love to see a cloud chaser blowing out a huge cloud of red vape exhale!!!

Some manufactures do add colouring to their liquid. My opinion is, if it's not needed, why add it. I have a few premade liquids that have colouring added. Each to their own but I feel it's pointless. It doesn't do anything for flavour and you don't get colourful vapour!!. It just adds an unknown additive to liquid that may cause issues long term....

Not sure that would work Rik. When I first started vaping I was hooked on a juice called Krankberry that was blue and the vape was not.

As far as I know, all food colorings have a higher vaporization temperature than PG/VG/nicotine.  So they mostly stay in the tank and clog up your coil.

Good to know.  Higher vape temp.  Stays in coil.  It was just an idea, a goofy one, but just an idea.

Thanks for all of the feedback, as usual, you guys are the greatest!

Would you vape a juice that made a colorful fog?  I don't have any idea how to possibly do this, but could be a gimmick that might sell?

It might make a difference to the crowd that is into cloud blowing to "impress" others, but I just see it as another possible worthless addition that would increase the cost of vaping.  I vape to remain cigarette free - I do not have any interest in waving my dick vapor cloud in front of others.

Yes, there have been a fair number of firms that colored their liquids, but you don't get colorful clouds and as cool as that idea sounds, given the current state of affairs, I don't think we want colorful clouds that attract our enemies.  Also, everything that is in the liquid does go into our lungs and body so it really is a good idea to keep the number of substances to a minimum. That being said Rik, I think every vapor has thought of what you said a few times in their life.... let's face it, we all want to to be Gandalf!

I don't buy or vape any liquids that have coloring in them. There is no need for them.. at that some FDA approved food colorings really aren't safe for food.

As with anything run by the government. If a big company wants to use it and they grease the FDA wheels properly it is made legal.  :)-1

I see that it wouldn't be something for everyone or all the time, but just as a novelty item.

I also know this isn't the time to be doing anything stupid.  It is the time to present the most organized, mature, and determined group possible.  No stupid stuff.

Storming the FDA in DC and pelting them with jello shouldn't be high on the list of things to do right now.  Just sayin'.
