30mm Kayfun ?
« on: April 06, 2015, 07:05:27 PM »
I bought two of these (in the hope one would be OK)

https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10009156/1787301-full-replacement-tank-for-30mm-kayfun-lite-kayfun

You screw the deck of a Kayfun into the base and turn it into a 30mm Kayfun  :)
Being from our friends at fasttech they leak out of the air holes but apart from that the idea is great if you have a 26650 mod, for the £6 they cost the experiment was worth it, the performance is great apart from the leaking I can’t put up with that.
Anyone know if the original Confun is good and is it 30 or 32,5mm? Don’t want one if they are 32.5mm
Also best place to get one UK

If you want a large kayfun style RBA, check out the Big Buddha. A bit pricier though.....

Thanks Ian - Now if it was single coil  :D
Watching that video confirmed my thoughts that because of the bigger tank you get more air pressure.
I will do a new build in my adapted 30mm Kayfun later today but use more wick than normal and see if that stops the leaking, if not then the Big Buddha looks the way to go.
I want the adapted Kayfun to work without leaking because I get the same vape as I do with a normal Kayfun but with a tank that lasts all day.

Got one working OK ( I think ) so it looks like the less is more rule with cotton doesn’t apply to a 30mm Kayfun.
The other has a bad fit between the chimney & top cap so that is something to play with another day.

"less is more" cotton also doesn't apply to re-wicking Subtank heads.  Apparently it isn't a good "rule" anymore...
Hey Todd, how's it goin'?

Really depends on the atty!

Some work better packed and stacked..LOL

Some work better loose and fluffy!  IMHO

I have the Big Buddha, and I also have a EhPro Evil Eye...very similar.

You can build them with one coil I imagine..haven't tried..
