« on: February 08, 2014, 12:46:36 AM »
I have been using a z max for awhile now for of them due to the fact they keep breaking down after a few months. I have sigelei right now on my second one. and I have went through 2 smok techs too. all of them start misfiring. so I have almost decided to go with a provari. any one have an opinion on them. I figure they at least warint them for a year on the electronics.

provari........bullet proof and the most reliable thing i own, i swap and sell my stuff a fair bit, mostly high end stuff but the provari has never even been considered for swap or sale

simply quality that works and works well

if you can afford the price then the best thing you will buy as a newer vaper

a step up from the standard stuff that is out there  :)+1

I've been happily vaping for two years. I've only bought one battery this entire time and it's the Provari. It's a tank and apparently a part of my soul now. My wallet, my phone, and my provari I always carry with no matter where I go. There has been times I thought about getting a mech mod, but seeing all the extra gadgets I'm going to need to say, check battery, cartomizer ohms, I decided to stick with Provari everytime.

I totally agree about the Provari. Not a big fan of mech mods for the mis firing reason. Another great device IMO is the eVic. Takes a little while getting used to but I found that it really is a reliable vape.

I love my ProVari!! I have a 0.9 ohm coil, set at 2.9 volts, and it vapes like a dream. Get one for sure.

I was under the impression that a Provari would not run with a sub-ohm coil.  I admit that I have never tried it though.

The newest Provari (v 2.5) claims it will deliver up to 3.5 Amps, so it can handle slightly lower resistance coils than before.

Anyone know the lowest resistance it will fire?

So far I've gotten my ProVare v2.5 down to 0.8 ohms. I haven't tried any lower yet, so in the name of science, I'm going to do some building today. Lol. I'll let you know my findings.

I use my ProVari with a .8 ohm dripper, but have to keep the voltage below 3.9v.  If I go any higher it will cut out after a second or two with an E2 error (current limit).  A friend of mine just got the new ZNA30 and I love it.  I think that will be my next purchase. Right now they are pretty hard to come by though.   It hits really well and has a great feel in the hand.  Another one I would like to check out is the Spire by Beyond Vape.  For the price this looks like a nice piece.

Yet there has been no buyers remorse with the ProVari.   :)+1

I just had an odd effect with my eVic (more the ViVi Nova replacement coil). The replacement coils vary in resistance all over the place, but this was the first time a coil marked 2.4Ω actually registered as 4.8Ω. I usually vape at 5.6 Watts but apparently the eVic limits itself to 5 Volts, and that's not enough to push 5.6 Watts through that coil. The eVic reset itself to 5.5 Watts and would not go higher until (as often happens with high-out-of-spec coils) the coil resistance got lower and lower (it's now down to 2.5 Ω). It took about 5 hours of vaping for the coil to change by that much.

Pete,
I also have had  the same thing happened with my eVic  :{   It was until I vaped it on a variable for about an hour, then returned to the eVic and the issue went from 4.8 to 2.1ohms.  #@#

I have just ordered a provari v2.5  :]=]
I'm excited!!! Can't wait for it to get here!

From all my own research you can't go wrong with a Provari.

VAPE ON!!! 8)

But I don't want a cure, I just want one naaaooow!  :'( I can get 3 month's worth of juice for that money, unless I sell a kidney or something as well it just ain't gonna happen.

Incidentally, does anyone know the going rate for a slightly pickled kidney on the black market? I blame my rather youthful looks on the simple fact that I try to have as little blood as possible in my alcohol stream. My liver is not for sale, it's just a freak of biology as I'm still breathing :P

OK guys - most of you know of my obsession with the Innokin iTaste range - so, this Provarie thing? If i'm used to VV / VW devices, home-made coils on drippers & tanks, will I not be taking a step backwards with a Provarie? Is it not just another tube with a battery inside it? Please, don't misunderstand me, I'm in no way slating them, it's just my logical(?) thinking, a device is only really as good as the coil and what it's in right?

So I guess my bottom line is, are they really that good, and with what I already own, would I notice a significant difference if I vaped one?

Variable voltage is dead. I wouldn't waste the money on a low powered outdated device. I guess they're made well but that doesn't matter if it doesn't do what you need it to.

Just my opinion, I know the provari fan boys will be here soon.

Personally if I had the money I would go for a dna device over a provari... but I understand why people still buy provari's, they know that they are getting a good device, where as you're taking a chance with newer unproven devices.

Disclaimer; I know nothing about anything, but sometimes I like to pretend I do......
