This thread actually inspired me to pick one up.  I ordered an inexpensive one off eBay.  From what I understand, you need to use some kind of cleaning solution rather than just water for the cleaner to work well.  So, I also ordered a quart of Gemoro ultrasonic cleaning solution concentrate.  My wife has a pretty big jewelry collection so I figured I could save her trips to the jewelers for cleanings and use the machine to clean e-cig parts as well.  I don't think I want to use one to clean a coil.  Concerned the cleaning solution would leave a residue in the wick even after washing.

the upside ... got mine yesterday ... great bit of kit. I used warm water and 2 drops of washing up liquid ... brings atty's up like new in 3 minutes (I didn't have wicks in though I must admit)

and now the downside ... our kitchen handles (chromed) are on the list to do ... one down, 21 to go  x}

So could I just chuck a used Vivi Nova head in there with the wick still on it?

DVD's and CD's?  I thought water was anathema to them.

Well now, there is a word you don't get to work into a conversation very often! ::)
Someday I hope to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

I don't do them any more because I would keep coming up with words that had the right number of letters and meaning but were the wrong word... PFTTTTTT  ::)

How does just hot water work? Can you use something besides putting chemicals in the water?

The water vibrates with the sonic beams or whatever they are, therefore dislodging the grime

We don't use solution either but I do have a few bottles of the stuff that came with it  :)
