Battery charger failing?
« on: October 30, 2016, 09:45:16 AM »
Hi all,
I'm having problems with my Xtar VC4 and wondered if anyone could help. The 2 outer bays are supposed to charge at 1A, but of late I'm not getting more than .5A and that's with a variety of batteries, both old and new. It's connected through a USB wall adapter and I've tried different adapters as well, but without any luck.
The charger is only 14 months old, so not exactly an antique, but needless to say, it's out of warranty.
If, as I suspect, the charger is on its way out, can anyone suggest a replacement? I need to charge 18650, 26650 and AA/AAA batteries.
Cheers!

I can only go by what I have - Nitecore Intellichargers.
I have an i2 and an i4 that have worked faultlessly for years, I have charged 26650 & 18650 but not AA / AAA.
 They say compatible with Li-ion 18650, 17670, 18490, 17500, 17335, 16340 (RCR123), 14500, 10440
Ni-MH  AA, AAA, C
No mention of 26650 on the sticker but I have charged them.
